Weekly Announcements for 5TH SUNDAY OF EASTER 05-18-2025
5TH SUNDAY OF EASTER 05-18-2025
Easter celebrates the triumph of RESURRECTION LOVE. The world views LOVE in terms of
emotional feeling, sexual attractiveness and physical gratification, and general fondness for or
appreciation for something. Oh, how we overuse that word! For Christians, genuine LOVE is a
reflection of the forgiving and selfless LOVE that Jesus showed to his disciples and
commanded his disciples to practice toward others. LOVE is an action word. Try giving
yourself away. IT IS
CHRISTLIKE SERVANT LOVE THAT MARKS US AS TRUE DISCIPLES! We have a
message to hear and a story to tell!
TODAY

10:00AM + EASTER SUNDAY WORSHIP + (in person and online)

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social
well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to
others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and
adolescence through adulthood. There are many in the United States who struggle in varied degrees of
severity. And a growing percentage of people believe that even the US President’s erratic statements and
behavior show signs of his mental illness. The 2025 theme is “Turn Awareness into Action”, encouraging
communities to move from honest recognition of the problem towards positive care and treatment. Whether self
or others, many of us are aware of the challenges of a life’s journey through hell.
