(Welcome / Greeting by the Pastors)
THE OPENING RITE (based on PSALM 100):
L Give God a mighty magnificent shout!
Break out with all your praise… let loose with all the cheers and chants you’ve got!
C We will worship the Lord with gleeful gladness!
We will come before God with songs, raps, shouting, and clapping!
L God surely is not dead!
God is the One who has given us our bodies and breath, our minds and a mission.
C God’s love for us never runs out!
God’s care and concern for us continue forever!
L You don’t need social distancing away from God!
Come real close – with humble hearts and an attitude of gratitude.
C I will thank, praise, and serve God with my whole self!
I will tell all the world of God’s sweet strong love!

PRAYER OF THE DAY:
Almighty God, here we are, flesh and blood, spirit and life – created, redeemed, and empowered by your love!
It wasn’t our idea to follow and serve you. You loved us first, before we ever reached out to you.
And now you have sent us out, to do the work of Jesus, to help him bring the kingdom of God to others.
Give us what we need to be faithful in that work. Keep us walking in the holy way. Amen.

THE APOSTLES’ CREED:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

THE BENEDICTION:
L The Spirit-fire is burning in your life – don’t let it go out!
The Spirit-wind blows where it will – don’t seek to divert it!
You have a message to share – don’t silence it!
Go out, sisters and brothers, into the world with courage and conviction, bearing the love of God, the good news of Jesus
Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit in every word you speak, and in everything you do.
C This is our day. This is our time. This is our mission.
Let us be faithful in our living and fervent in our loving! ALLELUIA AND AMEN!
