A Word from the Pastors | Holy Week Worship
A Word from the Pastors | 4/8/21
We personally experienced so much joy and spiritual revival during Holy Week Zoom worship opportunities as the extended family “dialed in” by computer and phone to remember the life, suffering, sacrificial death, and stunning victory of Jesus Christ! Because of continued COVID-19 dangers and guidelines, it was another year of not being physically present together for worship. But that doesn’t mean that we were not together and “of one heart and soul” (Acts 4:32, 2nd Sunday of Easter).
Thank you so much for being present in worship!
And thanks also for your active participation in worship as “leaders” during Holy Week – singing, reading a lesson, praying, preaching, playing an instrument, leading some of the liturgy, serving as a narrator, portraying a character in our dramatic reading, etc. We were curious and started counting. On Palm / Passion Sunday we had 32 participants assisting with the worship. On Maundy Thursday we had 16 worship participants. On Good Friday we had 13 worship participants. And on Easter Sunday we had 20 worship participants. That’s a total of 81 persons doing something in our worship during those four worship opportunities.
Both the presence and the participation are blessings that we treasure! It was resurrection power being released and bursting forth in the midst of pandemic gloom and shadows!
Let’s continue to meet together in these technological ways!
Let’s continue to stay green and growing as Easter people!
Stay safe. Stay sane. Stay in the Spirit. Know of our love for you.
CHRIST IS RISEN, HALLELUJAH! HE IS RISEN INDEED!
