CHRIST THE KING SUNDAY 11-23-2025

(Last Sunday of the Church Year)

Is Christ your king?

If you want to take the measure of the kingship of Jesus, review his inaugural address in Luke 4:16-30: “to proclaim good news to the poor… release for the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Unlike many politicians in so many times and places, Jesus made good on his campaign pledges. He did what he said he would do. Jesus’ kingship is about serving others, about ministering to the least of these, about suffering on the cross instead of subjecting others to suffering. On this last Sunday of the Church Year, let us gladly offer who we are, what we hold, and what we seek to become in service to God through Christ Jesus, helping to create that new community where sacrificial love makes all the difference.

SACRED STILLNESS – AN ADVENT JOURNEY

ADVENT is a season of holy anticipation – a gentle invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and make room for God’s light in the middle of our everyday lives. Join us for a 3-week story and scripture journey where we’ll pause together, listen for God in the quiet places, and reconnect with hope in this sacred season. Come as you are. Bring your cup of tea, your questions, your weariness, your wonder. There’s room for you in the stillness.
