36th Annual Women’s Day Worship Service

St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
36th Annual Woman’s Day

Together We’re Stronger!
Psalm 133

Welcome: Pastor Clesha – 36th Annual

Psalm 133

1-3 How wonderful, how beautiful,
when brothers and sisters get along!
It’s like costly anointing oil
    flowing down head and beard,
Flowing down Aaron’s beard,
flowing down the collar of his priestly robes.
It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon
flowing down the slopes of Zion.
Yes, that’s where God commands the blessing,
    ordains eternal life.

Song: Lisa Speakes Blain

First Lesson: Pam Tennessee – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.

10 For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help.

11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm; but how can one keep warm alone?

12 And though one might prevail against another, two will withstand one. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Second Lesson: Diane Hillsman – Romans 12:10-13, 18

10 love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor.

11 Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.

12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.

13 Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.

18 If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Song:  Yvette Myles

Third Lesson: JoAnn Milligan – 1 Peter 4:8-11

8 Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.

9 Be hospitable to one another without complaining.

10 Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.

11 Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. To him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

Introduction of Guest – Pastor Clesha Staten

Valerie Burrell is passionate about creating an atmosphere for change in the Kingdom!  In 2012, God spoke to her regarding the many traumas she’s experienced in life, letting her know that she was equipped to make change through the use of God’s word and transparency.  It was then that she began the work, aiding those who have been physically, emotionally, and spiritually abused.

Valerie completed her MS in Human Behavior and is continuing her education by pursuing her MBA. Valerie is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and Certified Temperament Counselor. She has also completed the NLP Practitioner Certification. Valerie is a member of both the American Association of Christian Counselors and the National Christian Counseling Association. Valerie enjoys serving as an Empowerment Coach, Temperament Counselor, and Marriage/Relationship Counselor. Valerie is also a published author and international speaker.

As she continues her journey of empowerment in West Virginia,  lives are being impacted through her biblical and kingdom teaching.  Pray for her as she desires to establish a Christian Counseling Center in that region.
