THE HOLY TRINITY / PENTECOST 1 05-26-2024
Jesus said that the way to see God’s dream for the world is to be born from above by the Spirit. Jesus said that the way to be part of that dream is to become trusting, dependent, and vulnerable. All who are led by the Spirit are the sons and daughters of the Living God, adopted by amazing grace. All who are led by the Spirit are enslaved to no one and to no thing. All who are led by the Spirit are fresh and free, empowered to live more faithfully and to love more fervently than ever before. How ‘bout you? Start living your new life in the Spirit today. God calls us to live, to be, to speak and pray and serve and love different from what the world pimps as the good life. The Church is alive and on the go as it receives and bears God’s creating, saving, and empowering love.

Our thanks to all those who contributed in any way (planning, set up, contributions, meal preparation, music and dance, bringing and inviting, etc.) to a joyous worship and indoor picnic! God blessed us last Sunday with a wonderful day of joy, grace, and empowerment!
In Ukraine and in Palestine, calling it a “just war” does not make the intentional displacement, terrorizing, suffering andkilling of many innocent people Pray for the Jews grieving the loss of lives in Israel, and for those who are still held hostage. Pray also for the many innocent Palestinians, plus some relief workers and some Christians, who are displaced, terrorized, suffering and dying.
Do you know Jesus had some to say about seeking retaliation, hating enemies?
Five years later, on May 17, Pastor Gwen had her “other knee” replaced. So, for the next several weeks she’ll be just a bit slower as she heals and engages in physical therapy. Thank you for those prayers!
